Dr. Peter Asimakis

Dr. Peter Asimakis has 12 years of experience in general surgery, having completed his MBBS in 2009 from the University of Melbourne and his FRACS (General Surgery) in 2017. After completing his medical degree, Dr. Asimakis worked as an intern and resident in Melbourne, gaining exposure to general surgery and emergency care.

Dr. Asimakis specializes in laparoscopic surgery, colorectal surgery, abdominal surgeries, and emergency procedures. He has extensive experience in performing laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, colorectal resections, and gastric surgeries. His expertise also includes emergency surgeries such as appendectomies, trauma surgeries, and bariatric procedures.

Since moving to Wagga Wagga in 2018, Dr. Asimakis has been practicing as a general surgeon, offering elective surgeries, emergency procedures, and chronic disease management. He is passionate about providing the highest level of care to his patients and has a focus on minimally invasive surgery to improve patient recovery times and reduce complications.
