Dr. Dean grew up in West Los Angeles. He graduated from Cal State Northridge, and studied medicine at Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA/SFV Program. He was a Kenamer Fellow in Internal Medicine at UCLA, teaching the medical residents as well as doing additional work in Womens Health, Travel Medicine, Dermatology, and Sports/Orthopedic Medicine. He has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1991. He first practiced medicine in Santa Monica for 2 years and has loved providing medical care in Simi Valley since 1992. Dr. Dean is passionate about every area of his life. He is deeply in love with his amazing wife and their three fantastic children. They enjoy surfing, medical outreaches, traveling and just %u201Changing out%u201D together. In addition, Dr. Dean has enjoyed teaching High School level Anatomy and Physiology. He loves running long distances (marathons, half marathons and the top of Simi Peak), surfing on very long glassy waves, tending his grape vines and citrus trees, and doing as many home and office improvement projects as possible
