Dr. Ryan Mitchell

Dr. Ryan Mitchell is a dedicated General Practitioner who has been practicing since 2019. After completing his Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Sydney, Dr. Mitchell gained extensive clinical experience at Prince of Wales and Canterbury Hospitals, where he worked as a Paediatric Registrar. This experience solidified his passion for general practice, allowing him to build a diverse skill set in treating patients of all ages.

Dr. Mitchell has since attained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), demonstrating his commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care. He is particularly drawn to the opportunity general practice offers for providing long-term, holistic care, where he can build strong therapeutic relationships and focus on preventative health.

He enjoys the diverse nature of general practice, especially caring for children and families across Sydney. Currently, Dr. Mitchell is enhancing his expertise in child health by completing a Graduate Diploma in Child Health. He is also accredited to provide Antenatal Shared Care at RPA, Canterbury, Sutherland, and St. George Hospitals.

Dr. Mitchell has been involved in clinical research focusing on paediatrics, preventative health, and the integration of Antenatal Shared Care in general practice. His research aims to improve patient outcomes, particularly for women and children, by developing evidence-based guidelines for early intervention and promoting holistic care in family settings.
