Dr. Simon Benstock

Dr. Simon Benstock has 12 years of experience in gastroenterology, having completed his MBBS in 2009 from the University of Sydney and his FRACP (Gastroenterology) in 2017. After completing his medical degree, Dr. Benstock worked as an intern and resident at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, gaining experience in general medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Benstock specializes in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hepatitis B and C, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and liver diseases. He is highly skilled in performing endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD). He has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques for diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions.

Since moving to Wagga Wagga in 2018, Dr. Benstock has been providing expert gastroenterological care to the local community. He is dedicated to chronic disease management, particularly for IBD patients, and provides personalized care for patients with liver and gastrointestinal conditions.

Dr. Benstock has contributed significantly to gastroenterology research, particularly in the areas of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hepatitis management, and liver disease treatments. His research focuses on novel treatments for IBD, improving liver disease management, and advances in endoscopic techniques.
