Dr. Pradeep Kumar Giri has contributed extensively to the field of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine through his research and publications. His work on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) was highlighted in the Indian Journal of Chest Diseases & Allied Sciences (2010), where he examined the long-term effects of non-invasive ventilation in COPD management. In 2012, he collaborated on a study regarding drug-resistant strains of pulmonary tuberculosis, published in the Journal of Pulmonary Medicine. His 2014 research focused on early detection of lung cancer using biomarkers, which was later presented at the Indian Association of Respiratory Physicians Conference (IARP). Dr. Giri also conducted a multi-center study in 2016 on the efficacy of inhaled corticosteroids in severe asthma cases, published in the Journal of Asthma & Allergy Research. His 2018 publication in the International Journal of Environmental Health Studies addressed the impact of air pollution on chronic respiratory diseases, with a special focus on Eastern India. In 2020, he co-authored a paper discussing the association between sleep apnea and cardiovascular disorders, featured in the Indian Sleep Medicine Journal. More recently, his 2022 research on post-COVID pulmonary fibrosis and its long-term management strategies was published in the COVID-19 & Respiratory Health Journal. His contributions have significantly advanced the understanding of various pulmonary conditions, helping to improve treatment protocols and patient outcomes.
