Dr. Ghanashyam Das Halwai is a highly experienced Pediatrician and Neonatologist with over 20 years of medical expertise. Born and raised in Sundargarh, Odisha, he pursued his MBBS and MD in Pediatrics from SCB Medical College, Cuttack, and later specialized in Neonatal Care and Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Throughout his career, Dr. Halwai has been instrumental in improving child healthcare and neonatal survival rates in Odisha. His extensive experience spans critical newborn care, pediatric infectious diseases, and community healthcare initiatives. As a Senior Consultant at a leading multi-specialty hospital in Rourkela, he has provided advanced treatments for premature infants and critically ill children.

Dr. Halwai has conducted groundbreaking research on neonatal respiratory distress syndrome, which was published in the Indian Journal of Pediatrics in 2015. His studies on malnutrition and early childhood development have influenced state-level healthcare programs, helping thousands of underprivileged children receive proper medical attention.
