• Dr. Jena has established himself as one of the leading HPB surgeons in Odisha, performing complex surgeries such as advanced pancreatic cancer resections with vascular involvement and intricate liver and biliary system surgeries.

   

• He is among the few surgeons in Odisha with expertise in Laparo-thoracoscopic Esophagectomy for esophageal cancer and esophageal replacement surgeries for esophageal diseases.

   

• Dr. Jena has been a faculty member, training young surgeons and MCh residents as an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology & G.I. Oncosurgery.

Dr. Jena has contributed to various research studies and has presented his findings at national and international conferences. Notable presentations include:

• "Effect of Sarcopenia on Surgical Outcomes in Patients Undergoing Pancreaticoduodenectomy (Classical Whipples)" at IHPBA Cape Town 2024.
• "Is Postoperative Pancreatitis Responsible for CR-POPF After Classical Whipples? A Prospective Observational Study" at ASICON 2023, where he received the 2nd Prize for Oral Paper Presentation
