Dr. Khan Abdul Rahman has made substantial contributions to internal medicine and pulmonology, focusing on respiratory diseases, tuberculosis, and environmental health. His landmark study, "Respiratory Disorders in Coastal India", published in the Indian Journal of Pulmonology (2020), analyzed the prevalence of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) and asthma in Odisha’s coastal belt. He co-authored "Impact of Pollution on Lung Health in Eastern India", presented at the National Respiratory Conference (2021), highlighting the effects of industrial pollution on respiratory conditions. His WHO-funded project, "Tuberculosis Control Strategies in Rural India", proposed innovative methods to enhance early diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis in underprivileged communities. His research and medical practice continue to shape policies and treatment protocols, making him a leading figure in pulmonology and internal medicine.
