Dr. Sethy Madhusmita, a highly accomplished physician, has been a cornerstone of medical excellence in Odisha for over five decades. Born on April 29, 1942, in Berhampur, Ganjam, she pursued her MBBS from Utkal University in 1965 and later completed her MD in Internal Medicine at AIIMS, New Delhi, in 1970. With a specialization in internal and geriatric medicine, Dr. Madhusmita began her illustrious career at MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, where she served as a Senior Consultant and Head of the Internal Medicine Department. Her dedication to patient care and teaching led her to contribute significantly to medical education and the healthcare system in the region.

Throughout her career, Dr. Madhusmita has combined her clinical expertise with groundbreaking research, authoring studies such as "Elderly Care in Rural India: Challenges and Solutions" and "Diabetes Management in Coastal Odisha," which have been recognized at national levels. Her contributions have earned her prestigious accolades, including the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Odisha Medical Association and the Excellence in Medicine Award at the National Health Summit. Currently practicing as a consultant physician in Ganjam, she continues to provide compassionate care while mentoring aspiring medical professionals.
