The Mother and Child Aikukai was founded on March 13, 1930, based on a letter of invitation from Emperor Showa on the occasion of the birth of His Majesty the Emperor on December 23, 1930.

　At the time of its founding, Japan was in a state of economic recession and worsening social conditions, with no Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (currently the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare) or public health centers, and the health care of children and mothers was largely ignored. In order to fulfill its founding mission, the Aiiku Association conducts scientific research tailored to the actual circumstances of society, and in order to actually apply the results, it commissions authorities from various fields to form the Aiiku Research Committee in May 1930. has been installed.
