The National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology (NHDV) is Vietnam’s top public hospital specializing in dermatology and venereology. Founded in 1954 (originally as a department under Bach Mai Hospital), it became an independent national institute in 2006 and adopted its current name in 2009. NHDV is responsible for research, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of skin diseases and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The hospital is also a major center for training, scientific research, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, skin care, and international cooperation. It is staffed by over 330 professionals, including professors, associate professors, PhDs, and experienced clinicians, many trained both domestically and internationally.
