1. Ba Ria Town Health Center was separated from Chau Thanh Medical Department (in 1994), with the main task of outpatient medical examination and treatment and disease prevention, with an initial population of 70,000 VND, including 5 wards, 3 communes. The administrative unit includes: 1 medical center and 3 commune medical stations, 1 inter-ward medical station; The total number of employees is 57. Among them: 10 doctors, the rest are elementary-intermediate level, there are no community health workers and village health workers, medical centers and health stations lack doctors, the specialties are not complete, medical equipment and essential drugs are not available. Weakly could not meet the medical examination and treatment needs of the people at that time, degraded facilities, lack of working rooms, etc.
