Established in 1954 by Dr. Charles C. Merchant, Baptist Christian Hospital (BCH) began as a small dispensary and has grown into a 130-bed secondary care hospital in Tezpur, Assam. As a unit of the Emmanuel Hospital Association, BCH is dedicated to providing compassionate and affordable healthcare, especially to marginalized communities. The hospital also houses a School of Nursing, established in 1954, which offers General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programs recognized by the Assam Nursing Council and the Indian Nursing Council.
