Established on September 12, 1960, the Base Hospital of the Federal District (HBDF) is one of the largest and most significant public hospitals in Brasília. As part of Brazil's Unified Health System (SUS), HBDF serves as a central hub for high-complexity medical care, offering a wide range of services including emergency care, specialized surgeries, and comprehensive outpatient services. The hospital is managed by the Instituto de Gestão Estratégica de Saúde do Distrito Federal (IGESDF), which focuses on strategic health management to enhance service delivery.
