About Us :

Founded in 1952, Beijing Friendship Hospital is affiliated with Capital Medical University. It was the first large hospital established in Beijing by the Chinese government with assistance from the Soviet Union and the Red Cross Society of the Soviet Union. The hospital covers an area of over 94,000 square meters, with a new outpatient and emergency treatment building under construction, which will expand the hospital's facilities to 170,000 square meters. The hospital integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, healthcare, and rehabilitation, making it a comprehensive healthcare institution.

The hospital serves approximately 8,000 outpatients daily and discharges over 50,000 patients annually. It also undertakes medical insurance for over 400,000 persons in Beijing and provides services to high-ranking officials and foreign guests. The hospital is known for its strong emphasis on research, hosting several research institutes such as the Beijing Clinical Research Institute, Beijing Tropical Medicine Research Institute, and the Urinary Surgery Research Institute of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Health.
