1. We paid 1.2m for same day result. We brought copy of passport and four 4x6cm photos. It’s 800k VND if you get the result the next day. Not sure if there’s any bribe going on. This seem to be the standard pricing. Although it’s a bit chaotic, it’s no different than any other local hospital in Saigon. Nurses move with sense of urgency. Doctor asked three questions: write mother/fathers name. Do you have any family history with mental illness. Did you graduate high school or university. Asked my Vietnamese spouse 4 questions.
2. We came for Marriage check and our experience was actually quite smooth. Extra point was we didn't even have to give them any tip as well.
The secretary was very nice and welcoming, the Doctor was somehow similar.
Everyone came today all left with relief without any complications.
In general, I think as long as you show your best attitude, they wouldn't make things harder for you.
Go straight to room 118, don't wait outside. Open the door and walk in.
All of your ID photos, don't glue them to the forms.
