Bertrand Chaffee Hospital is a non-profit organization committed to providing high quality primary care, outpatient services, emergency and acute care for residents within our rural communities. In addition to the hospital, it also operates the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home, which is attached to the hospital.

Our facility is an acute and long-term health care complex in a rural area. The hospital is certified to operate 24 beds as a general, short-term, acute care facility. We are a vital community health resource for residents of Southern Erie, Wyoming and Northern Cattaraugus Counties. Our service area encompasses 525 square miles, and includes a rural population of 55,000 people, which contribute to approximately 78,000 patient visits to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital each year. Additionally, we are one of our region’s largest employers and a significant economic engine for the community.
