After a variety of horrific experiences and an awful 24 day stay at Cmmc Lewiston, I was transferred to Bridgton Hospital's Swing Bed Program. Personally, I had zero hope of recovering, walking or eating when I got there. Immediately I could tell this place was so much better. Everyone from the housekeeping to the Drs were kind, caring, and compassionate. I started to improve within 24 hours and gain hope. PT and OT pushed but also listened, Nurses cared and helped out, Drs took time to hear and process my concerns. After a few days I took my first bites of real food in 84 days and was walking with just a cane. I am so thankful for everyone there!

Had a harrowing medical emergency while on vacation in a town some 20 miles away. The Bridgton emergency unit is quite small and, that night, Dr Steele and his staff were already attending to a critically ill patient. Nonetheless, everyone strove to give me all the attention they could. I was treated with maximum compassion, thoughtfulness and professionalism throughout a very difficult stay. Kudos to absolutely everyone at Bridgton Hospital Emergency.
