About Us :

Established in April 1986 by the Ministry of National Defense, the 486 Medical Team was created to provide military medical support for forces safeguarding Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty, especially the Spratly Islands (Trường Sa). The hospital is responsible for routine and emergency care for both military personnel and local civilians, as well as health checks for soldiers, rescue missions, and medical support for island and offshore operations. The team is known for its adaptability, professionalism, and commitment to continuous training, with staff regularly attending advanced courses at central military and civilian hospitals.
