Established in 1996 by the Cachar Cancer Hospital Society, CCHRC is a non-profit institution dedicated to providing comprehensive cancer care to underserved populations in the Barak Valley and neighboring states. Under the leadership of Dr. R. Ravi Kannan, a Padma Shri and Ramon Magsaysay Award recipient, the hospital has transformed into a state-of-the-art facility offering free or subsidized treatment to nearly 75% of its patients, many of whom are daily wage earners and agricultural laborers.
