Canossa Hospital was founded by the Canossa Sisters of Charity in 1929. From the beginning to now, it has adhered to the purpose of being a Catholic hospital, that is, to provide holistic care to patients in the spirit of Christ.
The Canossa Hospital has grown from 16 beds when it was founded in 1929 to 148 beds today. The hospital continues to provide inpatient and outpatient services to demonstrate the mission of Christ, providing high-quality and holistic medical care for everyone's physical, psychological and spiritual needs.
In 1991, the Canossian Sisters of Charity handed over the administrative management of the hospital to Caritas Hong Kong. Under the management of Caritas Hong Kong, the construction and renovation of the entire hospital began in 2007, transforming the hospital into a modern, high-quality and standard hospital.
For example, the reconstruction of the operating room department, special care department, obstetrics and gynecology department, central disinfection room, nursery, endoscopy department, laboratory, and hemodialysis treatment center has been completed. The outpatient department, radiology department, physical therapy department, specialist outpatient department, pharmacy department, nutrition department, quality and risk department, and infection control team that are under renovation are gradually being completed. Each department has added new equipment and medical supplies to ensure the quality of patient service.

Great experience. I was an inpatient for day procedure. From the admission stuff to ward assistant, nurses and doctors , everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They showed passion , caring and respect to patients . Answering questions with patience. Environment was clean and peaceful. Most of us undergoing surgical procedures can experience surgery anxiety or overwhelmed , however, they do a good job to minimise the stress level .

Clean and peaceful. Staff are kind and compassionate, a real credit to themselves and the ethos on which the hospital was founded. The food also was a revelation. Delicious and fresh. I wish to thank the staff from the bottom of my heart. You are angels, all of you. Alan
