Central Hospital Rawalpindi, now known as Rawalpindi Teaching Hospital, was established in 1957 and initially functioned as a military hospital. It was later transferred to the provincial government and renamed Rawalpindi General Hospital in 1980. The hospital is located on Murree Road in the center of Rawalpindi. It is a public sector hospital offering a wide range of services including outpatient and inpatient care, and also serves as a teaching hospital affiliated with Rawalpindi Medical University.
