Vision

Health is the most precious asset and the source of humanity's wealth. In this sense, it is relevant to all public policies and government agencies, as well as to the community, to create environments and conditions that foster health. This way of understanding health transcends the traditional concept focused on curative measures and pain relief, the objective of which is to enable people to work; that is, it proposes going beyond prevention, early detection, healing, and rehabilitation. The new vision places humankind and their social and environmental surroundings as the end goal, in order to expand their horizons of autonomy and freedom, as well as to live healthily for as long as possible. Therefore, the new healthcare model, "Health in Your Life," aims to make health a universal and enforceable human right, supportive and comprehensive, inclusive, and equitable, as mandated by the Political Constitution of Mexico City. This vision and this precept imply a political and social pact for health.
