Champa Christian Hospital was established in 1926 by the Mennonite Mission to serve the Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh. Initially a 50-bed facility, it expanded to 75 beds in 2013 to meet growing inpatient demand. The hospital provides vital healthcare to a region where 80% of the population lives below the poverty line. It is known for its compassionate, affordable, and ethical care, especially for the underserved. Champa Christian Hospital became an incorporated member of the Emmanuel Hospital Association (EHA) in 1974 and is a hub for both clinical services and community health programs.

The hospital is recognized for its inclusive, high-quality, and ethical care. It has a 7-bed ICU with state-of-the-art monitoring and support, and a strong focus on continuous staff training and research, including projects on sickle cell disease, antimicrobial stewardship, and surgical site infections. It is a preferred facility for patients from up to 150–200 km away, reflecting its regional reputation.
