Chamran Heart Hospital in Isfahan began in the late 1960s as a tuberculosis hospital and soon evolved into a major cardiovascular center. The hospital’s heart surgery department was established in 1976, and it has since become a comprehensive center for cardiovascular diseases, with 224 active beds and a high occupancy rate. It offers a full spectrum of cardiovascular services, including surgery, intensive care, and rehabilitation for heart patients. The hospital is also known for its educational and research activities, and for serving as a referral center for burn patients during the Iran-Iraq war before the burn unit was relocated.
