1. I took my friend and her daughter through to Charlotte Maxeke Casualty last night. We arrived at around 9 p.m. The security guards were polite and helpful. Casualty was clean and freshly painted. It was not very busy. My friend's daughter was attended to quickly. It was a good experience. Remember to get a discharge sheet before leaving, otherwise the security won't let you out.
2. I spent a week in the gynecoly department with the nurses and Doctors of Charlotte Maxeke hospital. Except for one very rude nurse that was assigned to me the day after my surgery, they where all amazing. The way they talked to me when I said I was nervous, to just helping you go to the loo. They really made a very traumatic experience bearable. Thank you guys from ward 196, you are an example to your profession.
