Clínica Santa Catalina was founded on March 10, 1989, by Dr. Arturo Romero Zavaleta and Mrs. Flory Cob Prendas. It began as a small house clinic with two consultation rooms and has since grown into the most important private medical center in the canton of Desamparados. The clinic is known for its rapid, personalized service, clean and pleasant environment, and commitment to improving the quality of life for its patients. In 1998, the clinic moved to a new, larger facility to better serve its growing patient base.
