Clínica Yucatán was founded on April 23, 1964 by Dr. Jorge Mendoza Blanco (+), initially with an outpatient service, always with a social vision, serving patients from the city of Mérida, as well as from the interior of the state, where there was a shortage of doctors and also people who spoke the Mayan language.

The success of the clinic forced him to quickly expand the clinic to include a clinical analysis laboratory, a pediatric emergency room, and pediatrics, followed by hospitalization of operating rooms, CEYE, etc. 

In 1982 he organized with a group of specialist doctors to form a society that would be responsible for the

proper functioning of the hospital and  whose name was “Medical Services Yucatán SA de CV”

In 1996, upon the death of Dr. Mendoza Blanco, Dr. Jorge Mendoza Mézquita became the new director and focused on updating the medical equipment, making the building more functional, and complying with all official standards for the medical services area. Along with this, he expanded services to insurance companies and companies in various industries, providing the necessary support for the Clinic's continued continued service with the highest levels of quality and safety in the field.
