Bihor County Emergency Clinical Hospital ( SCJUBH ) represents the most complex healthcare unit in the public system of Bihor County, providing emergency, preventive, curative and recovery medical and surgical assistance , with some specialties unique in the county (e.g. interventional cardiology, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, burns, oncology, interventional radiology, radiotherapy, medical genetics, pediatric neurology, etc.)
The extensive process of reorganization of hospital units carried out at the national level is also found in the municipality of Oradea, where in 2006 there were 6 hospital units, all with legal personality, which together with the hospital reform were reorganized, restructured, from 2011 to 25.02.2022 two large hospitals operated, under the authority of the Oradea Local Council. The last normative act is represented by the GD no. 1293/28.12.2021 regarding the dissolution of the Municipal Clinical Hospital "dr. Gavril Curteanu" Oradea, by reorganization as a structure without legal personality within the Oradea County Emergency Clinical Hospital. The profound restructuring of the healthcare system is also fully found in Oradea where we currently find only one hospital, under the administration of the Oradea Local Council.
Currently we have approximately: 4500 employees, 1400 medical assistants, 1200 resident doctors, 450 highly qualified doctors. Our activity is divided into 7 locations, 63 departments and compartments covering over 48 specializations, 12 laboratories, 1865 beds .
