ARA Health Specialists is a physician-owned, independent medical group specializing in diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, vascular surgery, and neurointerventional procedures. Founded in 1944, ARA has grown to become one of the largest and most advanced practices in Western North Carolina, providing services across 18 counties. The group comprises over 60 board-certified physicians, including radiologists, vascular surgeons, and neuro-interventional specialists, supported by physician assistants and a dedicated support staff.

I had an ultrasound and presurgery meeting about some very uncomfortable varicose veins in my legs. Every person from the front desk, to nurse, nurse assistant and Dr.Brown were absolutely wonderful. I was made to feel very comfortable with the up coming surgery. Dr.Brown is an excellent communicator and explained everything I asked about in detail. I was nervous about the procedure before my appointment now I'm confident in the staff and looking forward to getting my surgery done and moving on feeling better.

In addition to having a really great name, Dr. Toby Cole also has a great personality, wonderful bedside manner & fantastic sense of humor, all while remaining professional. I immediately knew that I was in good hands with Jackie & Emily & then Toby Cole was icing on the cake! Jackie & Emily were very attentive & explained things so well that I was at ease, despite having a procedure (port installation for chemo) I had never had before & was really worried about! The entire event, from the very nice lady in the front who checked me in, then the registration with Nicole (such a sweet young lady who was such a pleasure & so efficient & organized), then prep with Jackie & Emily, to meeting Toby Cole, Jr. (such a good name to pass down to a kid!) and all the ladies in the “sterile” room??, the port installation was a huge success! Great, caring & professional people at 222 Asheland Ave!
