Established on 25th November 2019, Diphu Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) is the 7th medical college in Assam. It was initially known as Assam Hills Medical College and Research Institute (AHMC&RI) before being renamed to serve the people of Karbi Anglong district and neighboring regions. The institution aims to provide quality medical education and healthcare services.​
