About Us
Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Government Medical College (YSPGMC), Nahan, established in 2016, is the third government medical college in Himachal Pradesh, named after the state’s first Chief Minister. The institution aims to address the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals and to enhance healthcare delivery in the region. The college offers MBBS and General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) programs, with a current MBBS intake of 120 students per year and 30 GNM seats. YSPGMC is also approved for postgraduate training in Community Medicine. The campus includes hostel facilities for boys and girls (located 4 km from the college), library, computer labs, and canteen. The college operates from the converted district hospital and continues to expand its infrastructure and services.

YSPGMC is committed to quality medical education and patient care, but currently faces challenges due to ongoing construction delays and infrastructure constraints. Despite these, the college remains the largest healthcare facility in Sirmaur district and a key center for medical training and services in the region.
