I had a scheduled c-section for our second baby at EIRMC. The experience was amazing! I was easily able to schedule a tour of their Labor and Delivery unit on a weekend so my husband could come with me. Catherine (the Labor and Delivery Nurse coordinator) promptly answered all my emails and even called me directly to go over my birth plan and pre-surgery procedure. The nurses that cared for me and my newborn were kind, understanding, professional and friendly. Huge shoutout to Sadie, she was my favorite nurse! Also, to Dan with anesthesiology, for listening to my concerns and taking good care of me during my c-section. I also appreciated how my husband was treated with respect and cared for as much as our newborn and I were. We stayed in a room with a king size bed which allowed us to comfortably cuddle with our baby when we were all awake. We also got the Stork Celebratory Meal before we left. That was so yummy and just fun to do. I’d 100% recommend delivering your baby at EIRMC!~Michelle Svoboda
