Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, located 12 miles west of downtown Chicago on a 147-acre campus, is the largest VA hospital in Illinois. It provides primary, extended, and specialty care to over 56,000 Veterans from World War II through the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The hospital shares its campus with Loyola University Medical Center and has active affiliations with the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. It is classified as a Clinical Referral Level 1A Facility and serves as a teaching hospital, offering a full range of patient care services, state-of-the-art technology, education, and research. ​

I was working in the area and injured at home by my cat biting me. By the time I got to the VA emergency room I was worried I would lose my hand or at least my fingers. I was checked in super fast and I must say I have never been treated so well at any hospital. The doctors and nurses was amazing to say the least. A big thank you to the nurses on 10 west you ladies are amazing.Gabby JD & Christina You’re the best!!!!!!! And I want to thank everyone at Hines VA for the great care.And most likely saving my hand.
