The Emergency Department (ED) is the critical entry point for immediate care in hospitals, operating around the clock to treat a diverse range of urgent medical conditions and traumas. Staffed by teams specialized in emergency medicine, the ED handles patients with life-threatening illnesses, injuries, or sudden health crises. Patients may present voluntarily, be referred, or arrive via ambulance. The ED's mission includes rapid triage, stabilization, and delivery of timely treatment, often with limited information and under intense pressure
