Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia was established in November 1991, evolving from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, which was commissioned in 1956. It is the first FMC to be recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Located on Aba Road, opposite Guaranty Trust Bank, Umuahia 440236, Abia State, FMC Umuahia serves as a tertiary healthcare institution providing specialized and comprehensive medical services.
