About Us :

Franklin Primary Health Center, established in 1975 by Dr. Marilyn Aiello and a group of concerned citizens, is a non-profit, federally qualified health center dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to underserved communities. Named in honor of Dr. James Alexander Franklin, a physician and humanitarian who served his community for over 60 years, the center has grown under the leadership of CEO Charles White to encompass 26 community-based centers across six counties in Alabama, including Baldwin County.

The Foley location, known as South Baldwin Family Health Center, offers a wide range of services, including adult medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, radiology, rheumatology, nutrition, HIV/AIDS services, and social services. The center is accredited by The Joint Commission and recognized as a Level III Patient-Centered Medical Home by the NCQA, reflecting its commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Franklin Primary Health Center's mission is to be a compassionate and viable community health center, providing accessible, affordable, quality, and comprehensive health services to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay. The center continues to honor Dr. Franklin's legacy by serving approximately 40,000 patients annually with care, compassion, and a commitment to improving the health status of the communities it serves.

Franklin is overall the best of the best. From the receptionist to the nursing staff, from the phlebotomists to the GPs. They ALL treat me as they would a family member, with kindness, love and the utmost care. Usually people disike going to the doctor. Not me!
