Established in 1933 and officially inaugurated in 1938, the Frantz Fanon Psychiatric Hospital in Blida, Algeria, is a public university hospital affiliated with the University of Béjaïa. Named after the renowned psychiatrist and revolutionary Frantz Fanon, who served as the head of the Fifth Ward from 1953 to 1956, the hospital has a rich history in psychiatric care and education.
