The Galilee Medical Center (GMC) in Nahariya, Israel, has received several awards and recognition for its contributions to healthcare. Notable among these is its recognition for excellence in trauma care, particularly during conflicts such as the 2006 Lebanon War, where it treated a significant number of casualties. The hospital has also been a pioneer in integrating diverse staff, appointing Dr. Masad Barhoum, the first Arab Israeli to direct an Israeli hospital, in 2007.

Additionally, GMC has been instrumental in providing medical care to victims of the Syrian civil war, treating over 1600 individuals with complex war injuries since 2013.
