Hospital General Rincón de Romos began operations on August 16, 1975, originally as a field hospital under IMSS-COPLAMAR. Since 1988, it has been integrated into the state health system (ISSEA). The hospital provides second-level medical care to residents of Rincón de Romos, Cosío, Tepezalá, Asientos, and neighboring municipalities, as well as some patients from Zacatecas.
