The staff, from the doctors to the nurses to the radiologists and check-in staff, were truly caring as well as clearly very skilled (an opinion supported by close friends who are in the medical profession) and completely professional. They kept me informed on what was happening, what tests they were running and why, and they followed up after they sent me home. I felt truly safe and cared for in their hands, and appreciated the small gestures like the warm blanket they brought when they noticed that I looked a bit chilled. This is my review for my experience during the recovery process in my admitted room after my necessary gallbladder removal surgery. While places like a hospital are seen in a negative light, due to the high stress situation, I enjoyed my stay in my room. I received excellent care from the total of 8 to 9 registered nurses who tended to my pain, and encouraged me to get better. All things are a process and I couldn’t have wanted to get sick. However, to be put in the path of such amazing personable professionals who over-extended empathy and compassion to me was such a blessing. The best mindset is what the staff at Good Samaritan provided me. Any Hospital can give you medication, and can patch you up, and get you on your way. However, the true experience is when it changes your viewpoint on life and you remember the great nurses (RUE, I am talking about you) who helped you more than was required and expected.
