The Hoang Mai campus of Hanoi Medical University Hospital was established as a large, modern field hospital to address the COVID-19 pandemic and provide intensive care for severe and critical patients. Opened in 2021, it serves as the second facility of the main university hospital and is designed to support both the capital and northern provinces with advanced ICU capabilities. The hospital is structured into three main zones: an administrative area, a testing and warehouse area, and a large intensive care area for critically ill patients. It is equipped with advanced monitoring and telemedicine systems to ensure the highest standard of care
