Established in 1965 by Dr. Wendell and Marge Geary with the support of the WorldVenture-America Mission, Harapan Bersama General Hospital began as a small clinic in Sungai Betung. In 1974, the hospital relocated to Serukam, where it expanded to a full-service facility with 100 beds, serving the indigenous Dayak communities and surrounding regions.
