Harlan ARH Hospital, opened in 1956, is part of Appalachian Regional Healthcare and serves Harlan County and surrounding areas in Kentucky and Virginia. It is licensed for 120 acute beds and 30 behavioral beds, offering a comprehensive array of services including emergency care, behavioral health, wound care, pulmonary rehab, sleep studies, dialysis, women’s health, and pediatrics. The hospital operates one pharmacy and three clinics, and is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and Wound Care Center of Excellence
