Founded in 1910 by Dr. Frank Harpur, an Irish medical missionary, Harpur Memorial Hospital has served the Nile Delta region for over a century. The hospital began as a small clinic and now provides excellent, compassionate, and low-cost medical care to more than 170,000 patients annually, regardless of religion or background. It is known for its Christian ethos, commitment to serving the underprivileged, and its role as a training center for medical professionals. The hospital is closely linked to the local Anglican church and school, fostering a supportive community environment.
