Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is a 154-bed acute care facility located in Clyde, North Carolina. Established in 1927 as the first county hospital in North Carolina, it was rebuilt in 1978 to its current location. As a part of Duke LifePoint Healthcare, HRMC is supported by Duke University Health System’s world-renowned leadership in clinical excellence and quality care, and LifePoint Health’s extensive resources, knowledge, and experience in operating community hospitals.

Haywood Regional Medical Center is committed to providing high-quality care close to home. The hospital has made significant investments in technology and infrastructure, including a new breast ultrasound machine, a bone densitometry scanner, emergency department patient monitors, new operating room equipment, and a 3D, contrast-enhanced mammography unit. In 2024, HRMC welcomed 133 new providers in key specialties and provided more than $23.6 million in health services to individuals in need.
