Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is a 154-bed acute care facility located in Clyde, North Carolina. Established in 1927 as the first county hospital in North Carolina, it was rebuilt in 1978 to its current location. Haywood Regional Medical Center is committed to providing high-quality care close to home. The hospital has made significant investments in technology and infrastructure, including a new breast ultrasound machine, a bone densitometry scanner, emergency department patient monitors, new operating room equipment, and a 3D, contrast-enhanced mammography unit. In 2024, HRMC welcomed 133 new providers in key specialties and provided more than $23.6 million in health services to individuals in need.
