1. This is for the day surgery ward at the second floor.
Went in for day surgery today and the staff and doctor was wonderful. The nurses and help nurse were so kind and really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The room is clean and bright (big windows). The building is old but looks like the machine/equipment's are new or well kept (even in the OR room). If I have a day surgery again, and have the option to have done at High River Hospital, I will go there again.
2. I often wonder if small town hospital or big city hospital are comparable? Well, unfortunately/fortunately I found out. My ER Doctor Dr. Slusar was exceptional. A gentleman with a quiet strength and patient with questions or concerns. The nursing staff on the 3rd were excellent and gave me outstanding help and kindness and whatever they are paid is not enough. My physio team of Hilary, Nicole and Justin were unrelenting to ensure i was strong enough and it was safe enough for me to come home. After this experience I am sure big city hospitals are great, but what i experienced in High River was incomparable. I would not hesitate to recommend our hospital. We are so lucky to have this quality of care in our Town. Dorothy Davidson
