HOMEL is Benin’s largest and oldest dedicated hospital for mothers and children. Established in 1958, it has a longstanding reputation as the country’s primary “delivery hospital," serving as the main referral center for obstetric, gynecological, and pediatric care. HOMEL combines clinical services with education and research, supporting the training of doctors, midwives, nurses, and laboratory technicians in collaboration with national and regional academic partners.
