Hospital das Clínicas de Teresópolis Costantino Ottaviano (HCTCO) is a leading general and teaching hospital, serving Teresópolis and neighboring municipalities. Founded in 1972 and managed by FESO in partnership with the local government, HCTCO is a strategic unit for healthcare delivery and medical education. It offers 240 beds (134 contracted to SUS), handles over 530 hospitalizations, 400 surgeries, 5,900 consultations, and 19,000 exams monthly, and is a regional reference for trauma, maternity, and medium/high complexity care. The hospital is also the main practice site for health sciences students from Centro Universitário Serra dos Órgãos (Unifeso).
