Established on May 5, 2008, the hospital was named after Dr. Clemente Álvarez. It has grown into a state-of-the-art emergency care center and serves as a critical facility for immediate medical attention in the region. The original HECA was smaller and located in the south of the city before moving to its current, larger facility.

1. Despite being managed by public health, (always by a politician on duty and whose party does not matter) it has excellent human personnel, doctors, nurses, security personnel, cleaning, etc.
It's a shame that these same staff always have to fight with lack of consumption, bad salaries, etc.
I thank all the HECA staff for their attention.
